This past weekend at their annual meeting, held in Peterborough, Ontario, IODE Ontario announced the winner of the 2026 IODE Jean Throop Book Award. Selected from the 70 submitted titles, T Is for Terry: An ABC of Courage, written by Denise Dias, illustrated by Noémie Gionet Landry, and published by Scholastic Canada, took home the honour.
Established in 1974 by IODE's Past Provincial and National President Jean Throop to encourage excellence in Canadian children’s literature, the annual prize is awarded to an author and/or illustrator who resides in Ontario.
