Shortlist announced for the 2026 IODE Jean Throop Book Award
The shortlist for the 2026 IODE Jean Throop Book Award has been announced. Established in 1974 by IODE's Past Provincial and National President Jean Throop to encourage excellence in Canadian children’s literature, the annual prize is awarded to an author and/or illustrator who resides in Ontario. Seventy titles were submitted to the committee for consideration. The winner will be announced at the IODE Ontario's annual meeting in Peterborough, Ontario on April 18, 2026. Congratulations to the finalists.
