The Writers’ Guild of Alberta announced the winners of the 2026 Alberta Literary Awards at an in-person gala in Edmonton on June 5. The event brought together authors from across Alberta to celebrate the highest standard of literary excellence from Alberta authors. Ali Bryan was awarded this year’s R. Ross Annett Award for Children’s Literature for her YA novel Takedown (DCB Young Readers).
