Earlier today, the Writers’ Guild of Alberta announced the finalists for the 2026 Alberta Literary Awards. Each year, the Alberta Literary Awards celebrate the highest standards of literary excellence from Alberta authors. A series of readings will take place in Calgary and Edmonton leading up to the Alberta Literary Awards Gala, which will take place on Friday, June 5 at Wyndham Edmonton Hotel and Conference Centre (4440 Gateway Blvd.). The finalists for the R. Ross Annett Award for Children’s Literature, supported by Under the Arch Youth Foundation, are listed below.
