October is Learning Disabilities and Dyslexia Awareness Month

For many children with dyslexia and other print disabilities, traditional print can be a barrier to discovering the magic of books. Audiobooks offer an alternative way in, helping kids access the same books as their peers, explore new subjects, build vocabulary, develop comprehension skills, and enjoy stories without the struggle of decoding printed words.

Audiobooks can nurture imagination, encourage a lifelong love of stories, and help children feel included in the conversations that books inspire. And when children can choose books that interest them, they can discover the pleasure of reading on their own terms.

Every child deserves the chance to experience the wonder of a great book. Sometimes, all it takes is a different way in.
