The Forest of Reading® has been nominated for the IBBY-Asahi Reading Promotion Award by IBBY Canada. Presented biennially, the $10,000 USD prize—generously sponsored by the Asahi Shumbun newpaper—is awarded to a group or institution whose outstanding activities are judged to be making a lasting contribution to reading promotion programmes for children and young people.
